Evergreen: steady growth & sustainability.

Look at you, lovely! You’re in an Evergreen season. You pretty much have everything worked out and running smoothly year round, but that doesn’t come without its own challenges.

If you signed up to get the emails, you’ll receive all this info over the next few days – but while you’re here, feel free to read on…

You’ve already built a solid foundation for your work and have a proven strategy that you *know* works. You use your values as a signpost for your decision make and that also resonate deeply with your community and audience.

You’ve grown your business – you’ve learned how to manage and scale through each of the seasons of business (and life) with a little more ease. You know how to plan, you can bring projects to life more effortlessly (even through all the challenges that life brings – cos life is still gonna life no matter what) and your business feels like it’s finally (finally!) thriving.

But. This Evergreen season can also come with its own challenges – you are worried about keeping that constant pace, you sometimes fear that you’re going to burn out, and it doesn’t always feel as sustainable as you thought it would at this point.

You know that success doesn’t happen overnight – you’re proof of it. You know that small, aligned steps forward make more progress in the long run. You’ve worked hard on your mindset, but things don’t always feel sustainable with your time, energy, and focus.

On top of that, you might find that you feel a bit resistant to change – if things are working now, why continue to experiment or change, right? But remember that quote “what got you here won’t get you there” – and remind yourself that you can still pivot, explore, and experiment without altering the course of your work for the long term. But to stay *in it* for the long term, you’ll need to change over time and adapt even more than you already have done.

What this result means

How this result impacts you, your work & your business

Being in an Evergreen season means you’ve already grown and cultivated strong brand roots for your business. They run strong and deep, building a stable base and foundation for your business. You know and understand the importance of creativity infused with consistency and have used them as seeds for future growth i npast seasons.

Although the seasons change in nature, the Evergreen trees stand strong year round. Through all of the change and transformation, your business will maintain the progress and stability you’ve already built for yourself. You’re resilient even when challenges arise and even more successful when you have the chance to pour your heart and soul into your work.

This season is all about reaping the rewards of past seasons while also continuing to nourish, nurture and strengthen your brand. You’ve already established yourself as a valued, but more importantly *trusted*, source of inspiration and guidance for your community.

But while you’re in a solid, steady season – it doesn’t mean you can become complacent. Adaptability and flexibility is something you’ve had to learn (often the hard way) on your way to being in an Evergreen season – but they’re needed more than ever now to pivot quickly when required.

But embrace this season while it’s here – and hopefully, while it remains for a long time to come! Celebrate what’s led you here and the stable foundation you’ve built for your work. Continue to nurture your brand roots while allowing them to also deepen and unfold naturally. And remember to stay true to your values and what led you here – where you’ve built a business that can stand tall through any weather or season ahead.

How to use this result

How to grow more intentionally in an Evergreen Season

To grow more intentionally in an Evergreen season, you can focus on balancing and infusing innovation with reliability. As the seasons change around you, the difference in an Evergreen season is that stability and continuity becomes a key pillar of you and your work.

During this season you have the opportunity to reflect on what has worked incredibly well for you, as well as how you can stay true to your brand identity that you’ve built, the values you hold and infuse into all that you do, and although you can stay rooted in what works – there’s always space to try something new, experiment, and continue to innovate.

Even if they seem hard to find, there will be opportunities for you to refine your processes, improve on the customer experience you offer, and improve the ways that your brand is interacted with on a larger scale. The hard part about this is streamlining and improving what you offer without compromising on the value and promise you provide to your community and customers.

Every step you take towards improvement will take you further along the path of sustainable, steady growth. Remember that being in an Evergreen season of business doesn’t mean resisting change and sticking steadfastly to what’s currently working – but it means finding the right balance between what works *now* and what will work in the *future.*

Remember to stay open-minded to new ideas, perspectives, and approaches that also align with your brand values and compliment your brand roots like your brand mission and vision. It’s in embracing that newness that you’ll be able to continue to sustain the stability you’ve already built for yourself.

How to harness this seasonal energy

Embrace the slow & steady growth

The beauty of an Evergreen season is in embracing the slow and steady growth that you’ve come to expect after nurturing your creative business. It’s all about finding joy in the small, everyday wins rather than relying on major milestones, growth spurts or huge successes.

Patience is key

Patience is your superpower in the Evergreen season - you have a deep knowing and understanding that success isn’t an overnight thing, but is due to the hard work and dedication you’ve poured into your craft over the previous years and seasons of your life and business. Embracing that patience and infusing it into your everyday will show how much you’re in it for the long term gains rather than short term wins.

Focus on your community

You’ve already built a lot of trust and loyalty with your community, but this should be one of the things you pour your energy into the most to make sure you continue to nurture that relationship and still give them consistent value through your work. It’s by focusing on creating an incredible customer experience that you’ll grow even more dedicated & loyal fans of your work, who will share it far and wide - and the ripple effect is even stronger in this Evergreen season, so you’ll feel the ripple even more than usual.

🤩

The benefits of this season

Just as Evergreen trees stand tall through all the seasons, your business has the potential to keep growing sustainably too.

  • You have the freedom to experiment

Being in an Evergreen season gives you a few obvious benefits: first, you’re in a very stable & sustainable place in your business. This means that you can really choose to go wherever you want to next - you’re free to sustain where you are now, experiment with something new, or a combination of the two!

  • You're always able to grow

The second benefit is that you are in a season of growth - Evergreen trees can grow all year round and never really go into a form of hibernation in Winter like many other species do. You can choose to build upon the stable foundation you’ve already got and push yourself further to keep achieving more and building more on top of what you already have.

  • You're able to learn from past success

Just know this: you are in a position where you’re constantly able to learn from your success, challenge what you already know, and improve your work for the future. You’re far more able to navigate the constantly changing landscape of our work in online business because you have a deep understanding of your self, your brand roots and foundations, your intuition, and the seasons that your business often follows.

🤩

The benefits of this season

On the other side of the river (or coin, as the normal saying goes) the challenges of an Evergreen season are also key in making sure you can stay in an Evergreen season for as long as possible.

  • You can become complacent

While being in an Evergreen season of business offers you a lot of stability, one of the challenges of this season is that you can almost become complacent in where you’re at in life & business and choose not to challenge yourself. This means you can get stuck where you are, not improving yourself or choosing to grow - and sometimes, get left behind.

  • Being resistant to change

Where there is comfort in sticking to routines and methods that have proven successful in the past, it’s important not to be resistant to change. As the seasons around us have shown, there is *always* going to periods of change, instability and transformation around us. It’s how we choose to handle that time that will define how our businesses grow in our next season.

  • Getting stuck in your everyday habits

It’s so easy to fall into the habits of the everyday, continuing to do the things you’re used to doing. But getting caught up in those habits that become second nature can only stifle your creativity and innovation long term. Give yourself space to dream, breathe, and get excited about your work again. Find ways to break out of your everyday habits - change up your environment or get outside points of view to listen to.

  • You have to be self aware

Whatever it looks like for you, the challenges of this season almost go unnoticed sometimes - although we think we can be quite self aware, we sometimes miss what’s right in front of us. Take the time to notice and reflect on what feels stuck or that is slowing you down and find ways that you can innovate and creatively work around it before you get too stuck and end up leaving your Evergreen season altogether.

Finally...

Your best next steps

Finally, let’s explore the best next steps you can take to make the most of the Evergreen energy that your business is experiencing right now!

First of all, remember to celebrate what brought you to this season. It’s an incredible testament to all of your hard work, creativity, and perseverance that you’ve been able to get to this point - so a huge well done to you! Celebrate all the past (and present) achievements that have brought you to this place.

Then, take the time to reflect on the successes of your recent seasons and make note of the valuable lessons each project, goal or launch has held for you. These lessons will help inform the decisions you make in the future - whether you decide to try and sustain the results you’ve had in the past, or innovate and create new ideas to implement moving forward.

Remember not to get complacent, however, and try new things so that you don’t get stuck in a place where you’re unable to make progress or you risk getting left behind when other people are exploring what’s new and relevant, while you stay lagging behind. Remember that being open-minded and embracing change where necessary likely helped you get to where you are now - but you may need more to help you grow your business further, if that is your dream.

Lastly, remember that you have built incredible foundations and roots for your business - this season is not an easy one to arrive at but it’s a show of your character, resilience and strength that you ARE here. Your work truly matters, has impacted people in a positive way, and has left the world a better place. Celebrate how far you have come, and how much you have helped others - give yourself a little breathing room while you figure out your next steps. And then, lovely, forge ahead with the creativity and innovation that brought you this far. I can’t wait to see where it leads you next.

Coaching, Guidance & Support

Your Next Season

If you’re ready to get extra support on your business journey (however clichéd that might sound, it fit the best!) then Your Next Season was designed for you. We kick things off by rooting ourselves in a personalised 1-to-1 Seasonal Vision Workshop followed by 3 months of asynchronous coaching, guidance and support. In the workshop, we’ll sit down together on a call and help you gain a deeper understanding of how the season of business that you’re in can influence your work, how you show up, and the actions you take moving forward. Together, we’ll create a clear and actionable plan tailored & personalised specifically to your energy, time or other needs, and designed to leverage these seasonal shifts for your growth and to help you work towards your goals.

But the real magic here comes after the call – once we’re clear on what your goals are, what you’re working towards, and we’ve created the actionable plan to get you there… I’m by your side every step of the way during your next season, giving you the accountability, support and guidance you need to keep your plan moving forward. I’ll be there to help you navigate your self-doubt as it comes up, help you find the best way of working for you, encourage your decision-making and energy management skills, and show you how to realign your plan if it needs it. I’ll be your biggest support while you root into your next season of business – and I can’t wait to watch you grow.
